NASCAR 2017: Live scoring, TV, live streaming, updates for Watkins Glen –

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Both qualifying and NASCAR’s “I LOVE NEW YORK 355” race at Watkins Glen are scheduled for this afternoon, weather permitting.

The race on the 2.45-mile Watkins Glen International is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday on NBCSN. Qualifying is at noon on NBCSN. You can get live scoring and updates at NASCAR’s Race Center and live streaming at

Heavy rain is predicted on the East Coast, which could impact or delay qualifying and/or the race.

Kyle Busch qualified for The Chase last week with a race win, leaving three spots open to fill the 16-car field. After this weekend there are races at Michigan, Bristol, Darlington and Richmond before The Chase begins in Chicago on September 17 and any spots still open will be determined by the points standings.

Fast facts: NASCAR announced this week that, starting next season, drivers with more than five years of Cup experience will be limited to seven races in the XFINITY series, down from the 10-race maximum set for 2017. …Cup drivers also will be limited to five races per season in the truck series …Busch, Trevor Bayne and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. were found with loose lug nuts following last week’s race.
