Former Slicers’ baseball coach Schreiber passes away

La PORTE – Ken Schreiber, the legendary former La Porte High School baseball head coach who guided the program to a record seven state championships, passed away on Friday. He was 83 years old.

He was surrounded by all of his family, including his wife, Judy Schreiber, and his five sons and one daughter, when he passed away.
